Bio-LNG, or bio-liquefied natural gas, is a renewable and sustainable fuel produced from organic waste materials. It is similar to traditional LNG but is derived from biomass sources such as agricultural residues, organic waste, and energy crops. The production process involves converting biomass into biogas through anaerobic digestion or thermal gasification, then purifying the biogas to produce bio-methane, which is subsequently liquefied to form bio-LNG.
Bio-LNG is considered a cleaner alternative to traditional LNG and diesel fuel, as it produces lower levels of greenhouse gas emissions and pollutants. It can be used in the same applications as LNG, including transportation, industrial processes, and power generation, offering a renewable and sustainable energy solution with reduced environmental impact.
